Faith, Hope and Love

Oh how mercilessly the flaming arrows strike

Ever so silently the evil one with his lies

Words of deceit craftfully entwined

Like parasitic weeds leeching on its host.

The Lord covers me with His mercy

He thunders with words of truth

The Spring and Breath of Life

Waters and sustains each day.

The leaves shelter the flowers

Bearing the brunt of the weather

Of stormy nights of flashing thunder

As they gleam vividly in the morning dew

I am covered by the blood

Of my Saviour on the cross

Nail pierced, he bears all sin

Victorious he rose again.

I am pierced, even to joints and marrow

By the Living word of God

That searches my thoughts and heart

Delight, yes, I delight in the Word.

On my walk home

I sing and praise the Lord

At the top of my voice

"I will daily lift my hands, for He has made me glad".

My hope is in You

Filed under: Uncategorized

A prayer to my Lord.

Psalm 25

Psalm 25

 1 To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul;

 2 in you I trust, O my God.
       Do not let me be put to shame,
       nor let my enemies triumph over me.

 3 No one whose hope is in you
       will ever be put to shame,
       but they will be put to shame
       who are treacherous without excuse.

 4 Show me your ways, O LORD,
       teach me your paths;

 5 guide me in your truth and teach me,
       for you are God my Savior,
       and my hope is in you all day long.

 6 Remember, O LORD, your great mercy and love,
       for they are from of old.

 7 Remember not the sins of my youth
       and my rebellious ways;
       according to your love remember me,
       for you are good, O LORD.

 8 Good and upright is the LORD;
       therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.

 9 He guides the humble in what is right
       and teaches them his way.

 10 All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful
       for those who keep the demands of his covenant.

 11 For the sake of your name, O LORD,
       forgive my iniquity, though it is great.

 12 Who, then, is the man that fears the LORD ?
       He will instruct him in the way chosen for him.

 13 He will spend his days in prosperity,
       and his descendants will inherit the land.

 14 The LORD confides in those who fear him;
       he makes his covenant known to them.

 15 My eyes are ever on the LORD,
       for only he will release my feet from the snare.

 16 Turn to me and be gracious to me,
       for I am lonely and afflicted.

 17 The troubles of my heart have multiplied;
       free me from my anguish.

 18 Look upon my affliction and my distress
       and take away all my sins.

 19 See how my enemies have increased
       and how fiercely they hate me!

 20 Guard my life and rescue me;
       let me not be put to shame,
       for I take refuge in you.

 21 May integrity and uprightness protect me,
       because my hope is in you.

 22 Redeem Israel, O God,
       from all their troubles!

This is how the scene looks like now.

Disjointed; Distorted image; Jigsawed

But still, the good Lord sustains me. The air that I breathe. The Living Word that is my daily bread. What would I do without Him. I don’t ever know how I would have lasted to this day.

Summer wind

Filed under: Uncategorized

It’s been rather hot these past few weeks. It’s been much cooler over at grandma’s place, where I spend most of the week at. I’m very thankful that God has blessed me with a loving family and a place to live, and grow in. But still, there’s no place like home. I think I’m getting on to something, something that God’s trying to tell me. need to slow down, quieten down, and listen. argh.

Lovely song I just heard, pasted below. And perhaps, hmm, I think he shall be named Charlie.

Summer Wind

The summer wind, came blowin in - from across the sea
It lingered there, so warm and fair - to walk with me
All summer long, we sang a song - and strolled on golden sand
Two sweethearts, and the summer wind

Like painted kites, those days and nights - went flyin by
The world was new, beneath a blue - umbrella sky
Then softer than, a piper man - one day it called to you
And I lost you, to the summer wind

The autumn wind, and the winter wind - have come and gone
And still the days, those lonely days - go on and on
And guess who sighs his lullabies - through nights that never end
My fickle friend, the summer wind
